When I create paintings with an African theme, my thoughts bring me back to that part of the world.
I was born in North Africa and although the demography and habitat are completely different from South Africa, I am reminded of a variety of facets of life that I can them create on canvas.
In this painting, I have painted beautiful ladies selling and shopping at the marketplace incorporating the warm, rich colours that remind me of this very vibrant culture.
