  • The colour silver is associated with prestige and wealth. It is seen as a glamorous, sophisticated colour, related to female energy, prosperity and modernity. It is also related to the moon and to the ebb and flow of the tides: it is fluid, emotional, sensitive and mysterious.

  • Silver is believed to be a mirror to the soul, helping us to see ourselves as others see us. It is soothing, calming and purifying colour, believed to draw negative energy out of the body, and replace it with positive energy.

      • In Chinese culture, the colour holds important significance in Chinese Five element philosophy according to which every element is represented by a specific colour and is by Ying-Yang theory. Silver, then in Chinese traditions is a colour of trustworthinessromanceloyalty and wealth.

      • In Japan, it reflects technology, high-tech, masculinity, preciseness, and strength.

      • In most of the Asian Muslim countries, it is seen as a colour of expressiveness, fluency, and softness. The amulets worn by some Muslims are often encased in silver metal for its effectiveness.

      • In India, the colour carries some negative connotation especially when it comes to wearing silver tones by women. It is often said that a woman must avoid wearing silver, as it is closely associated with white which is worn at a funeral unless she wants to be a widower.

      • In Hinduism, the colour is believed to purify a soul from negative energy and bring moon magic.

        America and Canada
      • The colour is often seen as a futuristic colour often associated with technological innovations. It is colour heavily used by industries as their colour especially as mobile phones, cars, and watches. It is mostly seen as a masculine colour. Thus some male products are produced in silver packaging.

      • One of the states of America, Nevada has official state colour as silver.

      • In Christianity, it is symbolic of prayers.
